Once again the SMU Sailing team sped through the light conditions in Singapore and braved the white caps in batam to obtain 3 podium finishes in this year’s SSR. This year we had the largest number of SMU sailors at the event, 26 undergraduates and 8 alumni at this regatta on 7 different boats.
Here are the overall results for the regatta.

Congratulations to all the skippers, freshmen and seniors for your efforts during the regatta. We hope it was a memorable experience for all of you.
For those who did not get a chance to race this time around, stay tuned to the next regatta, the Horsburgh Regatta held on the 17/18/19 of February. This regatta would be a eye opener to those who are new to big boat sailing since we’ll be staffing all the positions for TANTRUM, a Beneteau 44.7 and helmed by Robert vanParidon. For those who has been to China Cup, you guys know how fun it is to sail a big boat and you might consider coming down to relive those moments. Please email calvin.lim.2010@smu.edu.sg for availability and confirmation.
